Dowlings of the USA 77

State of Illinois USA

I am an architect, although I have retired from practice.

My paternal great-grandfather was born in Portarlington/Tullamore, Ireland area circa 1838 (?).  

He emigrated to England circa 1858, lived, married and raised family in Todmorden, Lancashire, England. 

My paternal grandfather emigrated to US circa 1910-11, lived, married and raised family in Providence, Rhode Island, US.

My father was born 1914 and married in Providence, raised family in Atlanta, GA, died 2000.

"Hey, Cuz! I'm Catherine Dowling and I am from the United States of America."

I was born Mary Catherine in 1951 in Dallas in Texas, USA and was a kid called Cathy in Southern USA.  I now prefer Catherine and live in Geneva in the State of Illinois, USA.
