A superb original 6x8 ink and watercolor painting by Griffith of Hollywood of Eddie Dowling, the original star of "Harvey" who signed this in 1930.

 

Musician and Theatrical Producer, born Rhode Island, USA in 1894 and died in 1976.  

Produced The Original Iceman in 1946. 

The Route 146 in North Smithfield, Rhode Island is named "The Eddie Dowling Highway".  Source: Beth Hurd, RI, USA.

Dreams for Sale by Dowling and Hanley was a song used in the musical "Honeymoon Lane".  This was released as a movie by Paramount Pictures in 1931.
