Dowling Pottery:
Dowling College Ware

Dowling is a College on Long Island, New York, United STaes of America.   These pieces must have been given at some sort of award ceremony.  The large one seems to be a Tobacco Jar, and the smaller one clearly is marked Dowling College, must have been meant to be either a desk pen or pencil holder, as I would not think it was meant to be used as a glass.

Believed to be from the 70's if not earlier.
